In Vietnam, the Ministry of Finance has issued Decision 345/QD-BTC dated 16 March 2020 approving the “Scheme to apply financial reporting standards in Vietnam”. Accordingly, the application of IFRS in Vietnam is divided into 3 phases including:
– The preparation phase (from 2019 to 2019 to 2021);
– The trial phase (from 2022 to 2025) will apply to a number of enterprises selected by the Ministry of Finance;
– The mandatory phase (from after 2025) will apply to some types of enterprises.
